The correct way to wear your own N95 masks

  1. Wash your hands and keep your hands clean;
  2. Choose an N95 mask that fits your face shape, hold the outer layer of the mask with one hand, point your fingertips at the metal strip, with the metal strip facing up, cover your mouth, nose and chin with the mask;
  3. Pull the upper headband over the top of the head and hang it on the back of the head. Pull the lower headband over the head and hang it under the neck and ears. People with long hair should hang the lower headband under the hair;
  4. Use the fingers of both hands to start from the bridge of the nose while pressing the metal strip while moving outwards, so that the nose is clamped against the bridge of the nose;
  5. Perform an air tightness check every time you wear an N95 mask, cover the outside of the mask with your hands: if it is a version without a breathing valve, quickly exhale (positive pressure) to check if there is any leakage at the edge of the mask; if it is breathing For the valve version, you should quickly inhale (negative pressure) to check for leaks.
  6. If there is a leak, you need to re-adjust the position of the nose clip or mask. If it still fails to seal, you should replace it with another N95 mask that is more suitable for the face.

When you need to take off the mask, you can first loosen the headband hanging on the bottom of the neck around the top of the head, and then loosen the headband hanging on the back of the head, so that your hands can avoid contact with the outside of the mask and reduce the exposure to germs.
